Nourvi is built for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, larger text, Voice Control, Switch Control, or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA in the Nourvi iPhone app, its widgets, and this website.
What Nourvi supports
- VoiceOver and TalkBack: every button, field, switch and chart has a spoken name, role and state. Screen titles and sections are headings. Scan results, errors and confirmations are read out when they appear.
- Voice Control: every control has a name you can say.
- Larger Text: text follows your device's text-size setting.
- Contrast: text meets at least 4.5:1 contrast in light and dark mode.
- Not colour alone: warnings and status always include words, not just colour.
- Reduce Motion: rings, scanning effects and celebrations stop animating.
- No photo needed: you can log by typing or dictating a meal, entering a barcode number, searching, or quick-adding calories.
Known limitations
Images you choose to share (meal, steps and streak cards) are pictures. The share sheet also offers a text version.
